Certified translation English<>Spanish

What is a certified translation?

A certified translation is an official translation signed and stamped by a certified translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. A certified translator certifies that the translation is a true translation of the original document, so that it is valid before a public body or authority. These types of translations can only be delivered on paper as they must include the signature and stamp of the certified translator.

Documents that normally require a certified translation include: academic records/certificates, birth and death certificates, marriage certificates, passports, family records, university degree certificates, criminal records, contracts, deeds, powers of attorney, etc. However, certified translations of other kinds of documents may also be required on occasion for legal reasons.
